Our
task and
privilege
is preparing
women and
men, in
the light
of the
particular
callings
that have
been identified
in them
to become
discerning
overseers
and public
representatives
of the
church
as it responds
to the
Holy Spirit
in worship,
discipleship
and witness
to Christ,
to the
glory of
God the
Father.

The staff
team at
SEITE is
vibrant
and youthful.
We share
a vision
of helping
to equip
Christian
people,
men and
women,
ordained
and lay,
to fulfil
the calling
that God
has given
them.
We offer
courses
of theological
study that
will bring
people
face to
face with
important
questions
of ministry
so that
they grow
in their
calling
whilst
with us
and leave
us more
able to
minister
to the
people
to whom
God calls
them.
We
do this
because
we care
about God,
about God’s
church
and about
its ministry
and mission.
We are
not all
from the
same background
– socially,
educationally
or even
church
tradition.
We are
not even
all from
the same
continent.
Much as
we agree
on many
things
and share
a Christian
faith,
we have
different
points
of view
on many
other matters.
We are
a lively
and sometimes
vocal group
of individuals
– but lively
and vocal,
we hope,
because
we care
about the
tasks to
which God
calls us
in this
world and
we care
about the
way we
respond. We
bring our
different
experiences
and understandings
to the
task of
doing theology
as a community
and we
hope that
as we reflect
theologically
together,
staff and
students
alike,
we can
learn from
each other
where God
is calling
us the
church
and how
better
to be equipped
to the
tasks to
which to
turn our
hands.
