“By the time they begin at SEITE students have already reflected much on their faith and calling, which they continue to do throughout their studies. Teaching theology to people with such a level of commitment is a great privilege.”

Guido joined the staff in 2010 as the Director of Studies. He teaches Christian doctrine and ethics.
After studying theology and training for Church ministry in the Netherlands, he moved to Oxford to do a doctorate in Christian Ethics. His research focused on the political significance of friendship, particularly from the perspective of Christian political ethics and theology.
After completing his doctorate in 2009 he was awarded a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Harris Manchester College, Oxford. In that post he finished the translation of essays by the German philosopher Robert Spaemann, which he had produced together with a colleague. This translation has now been published as Essays in Anthropology. Variations on a Theme (Cascade Books, 2010).
Since 2005 he has been a member of the Society for the Study of Christian Ethics. He has served the Society as Conference Secretary (2006-2008), and currently holds the post of Secretary.
Guido lives in central London.
