Justine
joined
the staff
in 2004
and became
the vice-principal
in 2007.
She teaches
Church in Practice. After
studying
theology
in London,
she taught
religious
studies
in a London
secondary
school.
She trained
for ministry
in the
Church
of England
at Lincoln
after which
she worked
in parish
ministry as a curate and a vicar
in the
diocese
of Southwark. She has trained readers and curates and
served
on the
Diocesan
Liturgical
committee.
Justine
has been
a member
of the
General
Synod and
the Churches
Commission
on Mission.
She
has written
articles
in practical
theology
and recently
contributed
‘Gender,
Spirituality
and Power
in Ministerial
Formation’
to The
Making
of Ministry,
ed. Angela
Shier-Jones
(Peterborough:
Epworth,
2008).
Her research
interests
include
faith development,
spirituality
and resilience
and she
is pursuing
doctoral
research
in this
area. Justine leads quiet days for the Worldwide Community of Christian Meditation and offers some spiritual direction.
Justine
lives in
Rochester where she is a Priest Vicar at the cathedral.
She is
married
to Thomas
and they
have four
children.
